„New Estonian Fairy Tales“ is a collection of fantasy-stories telling about important subjects of modern daily life.
Authors of these modern stories are not all writers in their daily life, but everyone of them has found from their life a subject, on a basis of which to write a modern fairy tale. In these stories there are entwined ageless teachings and the wisdom of forefathers and foremothers. Fairy tales tell us about good and evil, love and hatred, beautiful and ugly, caring and indifference, wisdom and irrationalism. Like always in fairy tales, wise, right and good triumphs also in these stories.

 Pictures of that book are also created by different authors – each artist has painted in front of a reader exactly such a fairy tale as they have seen it in front of their mind´s eye, adding to the content of a story a new power from their part.

 We wish that book touch something in the heart of an adult and a child and direct us to think about things that matter in life. We wish a word of wisdom to reveal itself from these fairy tales for everyone and encourage everyone to look around their selves and find their own fairy tale, to tell it even only to their closest ones and help by that to change world for better and more beautiful – just by the truth found by its creator.
